Over Thanksgiving we went to Garmisch, Germany. It is one of our favorite places, we can't wait to go back with Becky when she comes to visit! It was like being in a storybook, I didn't know there really are places that still look so old - fashioned. There was of course some new mixed in with old, but for the most part if felt like taking a step back in time. Many of the houses in this part of Germany(Bavaria) had paintings on the outside of them...
They are also known for their woodwork in Bavaria...
We came across this cafe with the outside seating that looked so cozy so we stopped..
As we were sitting there, a lady passing by offered to take our picture, and as you can see it is not such a flattering picture of us...but we were sure enjoying ourselves!
This lake was so beautiful!
And this was the famous Neuwanstein Castle.
